What is advocacy?

Advocacy is defined as the action of supporting a cause, idea or policy. Melanoma advocacy refers to any type of work towards building awareness about melanoma and to improve the situation of Melanoma patients. Advocacy groups are sometimes led by melanoma patients, survivors or carers—in some cases, by healthcare professionals.
